Market Update - May 2017

The sun is shining, our newly-installed air-conditioning is working a treat (gone are the days of 34+ degree heat in our office – thank you Maskold!) and we have even more fabulous properties to sell, which we’re thrilled about.  The nice thing is that they are all great homes (complimenting what we already have on our books) with extremely pleasant owners – owners who we work & get on well with and who are understanding and sensible when it comes to the property market.  With all these superb homes for sale with us, we now need to find equally decent buyers for each and every one of them… and we won’t stop until we have done so!

So, what is new to tell you about this month?  Well, I have to start with an especially lovely house that we have just launched on Telford Avenue, SW2 – asking £2,450,000.  Sat right in the heart of the Telford Park Conservation Area, a much-favoured destination for a great number of families, is this magnificent, double fronted family house with quite possibly the best layout for a large family house that one could wish for.  It also helps that it is pristine throughout, beautifully decorated and ready for a new family to simply move in and enjoy every part of it for many years to come.  Oh, there’s no chain so a family could be in within weeks if they wanted to.

We’ve also got a lovely home on The Magdalen Estate, Ellerton Road (to be precise) and asking £1,500,000.  Again, a perfectly balanced home with great space for any growing family and in the catchment area for Beatrix Potter Primary School – a popular local school.

If you’re looking for a flat with your own entrance and walkable from both Clapham South & Balham, look no further than this great two bedroom split-level flat on Blandfield Road, asking £785,000.  Sitting above what is arguably the best independent travel agent around, Travel Matters (they’ve looked after me extremely well over the years!), the flat has two double bedrooms and a rather fun galleried kitchen/breakfast room which overlooks the sitting room.

Close to this road is another terrific house we have for sale – Sudbrooke Road, £2,100,000.  It is arguably as pristine as Telford Avenue (top marks to the owners), has planning permission for a basement conversion and feels big, light and very homely. 

Woodbourne Avenue is another popular road with our buyers (we have another house currently under offer on the same road).  This particular house is huge (just under 3,000 sq ft) with a large garden and off street parking too - £1,750,000.

Finally, our terrific clients from Ouseley Road waved goodbye to their old house last week – we’ve loved working with them, we know we’ll stay in touch too and now its new occupants are excited about making Ouseley Road their new home.  We wish both sides well!
