Market Update - February 2018

What a TERRIFIC start to 2018!  We arrived back, fresh after Christmas, to a mass (no exaggeration!) of new enquiries from new buyers eager to find themselves a home to buy.  We had over 30 new enquiries during the last month alone, compared to a rather meagre 40 between 1st July and 31st December…  Last year really was a tricky one and we’re thrilled to see that the property market is once again busy – extremely BUSY!

So what’s been happening so far this year?  A LOT!

We had an exchange in the first week of January – this lovely house on Upper Tooting Park, SW17 - asking £1,399,000.  Our fab clients are moving to a larger house close by which is nice for us as they’re clients we’d really like to keep in touch with.  They even popped in with a bottle of fizz and a rather delicious box of chocolates as a thank you present for us – needless to say, they were enormously appreciated and promptly inhaled! 

We’ve also agreed a sale on this outstanding double fronted house on Telford Avenue, SW2 – asking £2,450,000.  I’ve known the owners for over 15 years and whilst they’re genuinely sad to be leaving London (especially after living there for 25 years), they do have another home nestled in the country to move to and are pleased to be selling to a lovely family who instantly fell for the house. 

Tantallon Road, SW12 – asking £1,475,000.  With no chain and immaculately presented, there have been lots of viewings at this house recently, resulting in Olivia recently receiving an offer – which, we are thrilled to say, has been accepted! 

Boundaries Road, SW12 – asking £1,250,000 has also received lots of interest this year and we’re hoping to sell it, just as soon as one of the interested parties receives an offer on their flat that they’re selling in North London.

We also have two families working hard to get themselves into a position to buy this house on Burntwood Lane, SW17 – asking £1,195,000.  With a huge garden and offering a great feeling of space inside, it’s a house ready for someone to move straight into, whilst also offering the potential to extend – the best of both worlds.

Nottingham Road, SW17 has recently been reduced to £1,350,000 – with no chain, a sunny garden, in terrific condition and a stone’s throw from Wandsworth Common, it’s now at a level where we’re confident it will soon be snapped up.

With more interest building up on all our available properties, including Hearnville Road, SW12 - £885,000, Mount Ephraim Lane, SW16 - £1,550,000, Trinity Road, SW17 - £1,625,000 and Hendham Road, SW17 - £1,675,000, we are very hopeful there’ll be more sales agreed soon.

All we now really need is more property to sell so if any of you lovely people know of anyone who might be thinking about selling, please let us know – we’d love to help and we’ll take great care of them too.
